PARTNER

Welcome Wilson, Jr. is president and CEO of Welcome Group, LLC, a real estate development firm with over 9 million square feet in the state of Texas and southeastern United States. He is also the joint venture partner in Kingham ∙ Dalton ∙ Wilson Ltd., a design/build construction affiliate of Welcome Group and is a director of River Oaks Financial Group. Mr. Wilson currently serves as chairman of the Alamo Trust and Remember the Alamo Foundation in San Antonio. He was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in Austin. He also serves on the board of directors of the Texas Higher Education Foundation, Greater Houston Partnership, Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Trellis Company and the Trellis Foundation in Austin and the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission. In addition, he is chairman of the board of the Southwest Houston Redevelopment Authority and chairman of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #20 (TIRZ # 20).

BYRON SMITH

FOUNDER

Byron Smith is a Sydney-born entrepreneur with a family business background in commercial real estate. He has been active in automotive technology as both a co-founder and investor in various artificial intelligence and advanced materials (Graphene) companies. Byron has successfully led multimillion-dollar fundraises, executed marketing strategies, built sales processes, created financial models, and spearheaded business development for the ventures he's involved with. Prior to founding XSpace, he received his Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney, and his MBA from Bayes Business School, London. Byron’s first start-up experience was with the original team that built RA Motorsport Pty Ltd from a business plan into Australasia's largest motorsport dealership.

KEITH DALTON

For Keith Dalton, building has always meant more than concrete and steel — it’s about building people, relationships, and lasting legacies. A third-generation builder, Keith was raised on the principles of craftsmanship, integrity, and the belief that a company’s greatest strength lies in the people behind it. These values were further shaped at Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and deepened both his technical knowledge and passion for the industry. With more than 40 years of experience and deep Texas roots, Keith has provided steady, principled leadership as Co- Founder and CEO of KDW. Under his direction, the company has completed over 2,000 projects and built a reputation for quality, trust, and innovation. Global Clients looking to locate or on-board to the USA continue to place their confidence in KDW thanks to its consistent delivery and unwavering commitment to excellence. Ray DeLaughter

COO

Ray DeLaughter has a unique skill-set that comes from experience as a small business owner and experience consulting with Fortune 500 companies while working in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Deloitte Consulting. He has extensive experience in finance, including budgeting & forecasting, performance management, organization restructuring, and investment due diligence. Ray grew up in the greater Houston area and now lives in Austin with his wife and three children.

HOWARD ECKER

CHAIRMAN EMERITUS

Howard Ecker founded Howard Ecker + Company in 1975 as the first company to exclusively serve the needs of office tenants. Howard has worked with business leaders since the company’s founding to align office location thinking with the long-term physical and cultural needs of their business’. Howard has completed lease transactions in virtually every state in the USA and Canada. Moreover, Howard has been responsible for several corporate builds-to-suit as well as the development of both low-rise and high-rise office buildings and several large residential developments. Other achievements include successfully negotiating a built-to-suit space for the Shure Brothers corporate headquarters, and securing 200,000 square feet in two leases for his client BDO in Midtown Manhattan.

FRANCISCO GONZALEZ-PULIDO

ARCHITECT

Born into a family of engineers, Mexican architect Francisco Gonzalez-Pulido graduated from the Monterrey Tec Institute of Technology and Harvard University. In 1999 he moved to Chicago, and for a period of 18 years, he collaborated and became the design partner of the late German architect Helmut Jahn. In 2017 he left to establish FGP Atelier, an intercontinental architectural practice focused on advancing the quality of the built environment through the alignment of design, science, art, and technology. His projects have been recognized globally for design innovation, vitality, and integrity. FGP Atelier has been recognized as one of Chicago's 25 Best Architectural Practices.

Jay Kingham

CONSTRUCTION

A skilled construction professional with more than 19 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Jay has worked in all levels of field construction, including Laborer, Carpenter, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Construction Manager. He has worked for KDW for over 18 years and has managed all phases of multimillion-dollar construction projects. Jay prides himself on building long-term relationships with owners and subcontractors, effective communication, and project cost control.

TRISTAN NADAL

INVESTMENTS

Tristan Nadal is the founder and CEO of Pointsfive. He has nearly 15 years of experience in the real estate investment and development business. Tristan leads all aspects of the firm’s operations, including sourcing opportunities, guiding investment decisions, driving strategy, and overseeing execution. He is personally involved in all projects the firm undertakes. Prior to founding Pointsfive, Tristan was Vice President of Acquisitions and Development at Gotham Organization, a best-in-class, century-old real estate operating and development firm based in New York City. He served in a development management capacity, leading all aspects of several of the firm’s largest projects, from site identification to stabilization. Tristan also spearheaded financing and acquisitions across the firm, specializing in capital markets execution, joint venture structuring, and underwriting for all new and existing developments, acquisitions, and financings. At Gotham, he executed over 3 million square feet of ground-up development.

CHRISSY KOOB

FINANCE

Chrissy Koob joins XSpace with over 20 years of diversified financial and operational experience across several industries. She began her career working for major financial institutions in sales in Chicago. Chrissy first leveraged her skills at a financial modeling enterprise that served the hedge fund industry, where she served in both a financial and operations role. Chrissy was then recruited to the Chicago Fire Soccer Club of the MLS, where she worked directly for the President. She led the team's first-ever market research analysis project to understand the customer base better. This project led to other significant projects, such as the development of data analytics used to implement a digital marketing perspective for the franchise. Before Chrissy's professional journey brought her to Austin, she had established her own accounting business in Chicago. Subsequently, she spent 7 years working with fractional CFO/accounting firms, where she led accounting teams to support clients in diverse industries, including biotech, real estate investing, and emerging CPG brands.

MICHAEL PASS

GENERAL COUNSEL

Michael Pass is a corporate attorney based in New York and Nashville, with deep experience acting on behalf of private funds and businesses across a wide range of industries and stages of development. Michael has a broad-based transactional practice, with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financings, corporate structuring and restructurings, and startups. A native of Nashville, Michael has spent his entire professional career in New York City, beginning in 2010 as a corporate attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and later practicing at Torys LLP and Davis & Gilbert LLP. Michael is also the co-founder and General Counsel of a niche fragrance brand, Abbott NYC.

MARTA DE MOVELLAN

MARKETING

Marta de Movellan has 15+ years of experience in marketing and communications. At the start of her career, Marta worked in the marketing department for Sotheby’s auction house in London before managing major PR campaigns for prestigious visual arts clients such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Cartier Foundation. Prior to joining the XSpace team, she ran global marketing and communications for high-end commercial art galleries with locations across Europe, North America, and Asia, strategically building brand recognition and driving sales simultaneously through website design, SEO, social media, and email marketing.

REAGAN FOX

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

A proud Texas native, Reagan Fox attended the University of Texas at Austin and has over five years of experience in customer service across a variety of roles. She’s passionate about creating positive experiences and believes in the power of clear communication, empathy, and follow-through. Reagan is committed to supporting clients and team members while always seeking ways to improve the customer experience. Throughout her career, she has contributed to improving customer satisfaction by helping refine service processes, enhancing onboarding experiences, and building stronger relationships with clients. Outside of work, she volunteers at her local library, enjoys discovering new coffee shops, and loves attending live music events around Austin.
